HardieBacker Backerboard 12mm Cement Tile Backer
The 6mm HardieBacker® 500 cement board is designed for walls, floors and countertops. Each board can carry applied weights of up to 200kg/m², meaning you can strengthen regular plastered walls for heavier tile application whilst its thinness ensures minimal additional build-up to the floor, maintaining ceiling heights and smoother transitions between rooms.
Using James Hardie’s unique proprietary cement formulation, the board provides a strong bond for all ceramic and natural stone tiles whilst incorporating water resistant properties and Mouldblock™ technology. There’s no paper facing or gypsum, that can mould or disintegrate over time, ensuring dimensional stability when exposed to water for long periods of time.
Easy to cut and install, its mesh free construction and smooth surface can be textured or wallpapered and provides a strong bond with tile adhesive ready for tiling on internal walls and floors.
